The nomination period took place during September and nearly 200 women nominated over 200 individuals and groups in 34 categories. The voting period was open between 1 October and 31 October 2014, and 1,737 people cast 24,838 votes making it the biggest awards to date.

Naomi Bennett co-founder of Planet London, cycled 25 miles in the Cycletta South event to raise over £400 for the Albert Kennedy Trust on Sunday 11 September 2011.
