About Ultimate Planet

Ultimate Planet was formed in 2013 following 2 successful years of running Planet London, which was founded in 2011 by Naomi Bennett-Hall and Katie Bennett-Hall. Ultimate Planet is made up of a number of Planet brands. All of the Planet strands have one thing in common; support, promotion and focus on the LBQ community through forming collaborative partnerships with LGBT community organisations and ally organisations to support the diverse LGBT community.

Our vision, mission and values

The legal structure of Ultimate Planet

Ultimate Planet is a community business which has a legal structure of a UK Partnership. However we run the business as a not for profit and are proud to invest in and support our LBQ community. Ultimate Planet is the umbrella brand under which a number of Planet brands operate:

Planet London

Planet London is a listings and lifestyle website. Planet London makes it easy for all LBQ women to find out and share what's on in London. The website includes film, book, theatre, music, holiday, family and event reviews; general opinion blogs, a food blog and a media blog as well as a comprehensive events calendar of the events in London and profiles of key people in the community.

Planet Brighton

Planet Brighton is a listings and lifestyle website. Planet London makes it easy for all LBQ women to find out and share what's on in Brighton. The website includes film, book, theatre, music, holiday, family and event reviews; general opinion blogs, a food blog and a media blog as well as a comprehensive events calendar of the events in Brighton and profiles of key people in the community.

Planet Residential

Planet Residential is the first Planet strand to potentially concentrate on the entire LGBT community rather than just women. The Planet Residential vision is the creation of a commercially viable and community driven, sustainable housing solution that meets the needs of an inclusive older LGBT population in the UK.

Planet M Productions

Planet M Productions is a production company that is seeking to create, currate and support quality LBQ content out of the UK. The first project, the UK's first LBQ web series She's in London is due to be released on 27 September 2015 via TelloFilms.com.

Ultimate Planet Awards

The Ultimate Planet Awards launched in 2013. We have created the Ultimate Planet Awards to recognise, thank and promote the hard work from dedicated grass roots event organisers and community businesses who are committed to improving the LBQ scene. In 2014 the awards were held and a glamourous awards ceremony and after party took place in Central London. The hashtag #LesbianOscars trended and created a huge buzz at this success event. The 2014 awards were sponsored by Tello Films.

My Pocket Planet

My Pocket Planet is an app which is available on iOS, Android, Blackberry 10 and Kindle Fire that contains the key blog and events content from Planet London and Planet Brighton. It also contains discount vouchers and a digital loyalty card that aims to reward LBQ women for their loyalty to the women's venues in London.

Planet Promo

Planet Promo is a brand that is created to support small LBQ businesses and event organisers. It provides sponsored banners, marketing support such as flyer, poster and social media design, and training on areas such as social media. We hope to support LBQ women to make their business more sustainable and reach more customers.

Planet Publishing

Planet Publishing is a self-publishing support service for LBQ women authors. We support writers across any genre and format. We are not publishers nor agents, however. We are the complete self publishing service, ready to take LBQ writers from first draft to publication (and everything in between). We are here for women after they've asked themselves "I've finished my book/poetry collection/thesis, now what?"

Proud Planet

Proud Planet is the brand that we use when we are fundraising for LGBT charities, either face to face or online. It is our LGBT campaigning arm. We are proud of our commitment to our community, including supporting LGBT charities and good causes.
